Reuben Bernard III
- Founder of Bernard Transportation

Reuben Bernard III is a native New Orleanian; dedicated son and father. Reuben realized his desire to work with the public at an early age when he began his first job as a valet attendant for the Sheraton Hotel. Reuben's desire to work more closely with the guests led him to transfer to Bell Services Agent. For over 30 years, he welcomed guests to the hotel and city, making them feel like a part of his extended family.

During those years, Reuben received many accolades about the service he provided to the hotel guests in the form of recognition letters to the General Manager and nominations for Employee of the Month from his managers and fellow cast members. In the summer of 1989, Reuben was named the American Hotel and Motel Association's Bellman of the Year. Due to this, a letter was sent to former Mayor of New Orleans, Sidney Barthelemy, resulting in the city honoring Reuben Bernard with his own official day.

In 1990 Reuben was awarded with the ITT Ring of Quality, an honor reserved for Presidents and CEOs which is received by only 12 associates accross the nation annually.

As a result of his highly motivated spirit, Reuben took his career to the next level by entering the field of Sales. In 1995 he began a career as a Sales Representative with Bryan Chevrolet. During his tenure at the dealership, Reuben was awarded  Employee of the Month 16 times and Employee of the Year twice. It was in January of 2014 that Reuben decided to branch out into entrepreneurship with the inception of Bernard Transportation, LLC.

Since that day, Reuben has reveived many letters of recognition for his exceptional services. Additionally, a letter was sent to Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, Mayor Mitchell J. Landrieu, as well as Stephen J. Perry, President, and Cara Bannsch, Vice President of the New Orleans Tourism Commission to compliment his personal and genuine customer service. Bernard Transportation has had the honor of working with clients such as Marathon Petroleum, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Marriott Hotels, Embassy Suites Hotels, Boston Public Schools, GE Oil Company, Sanderson Farms, Howard Weil, Imperial Trading, Mums Software, and most recently the National Association of Multicultural Education Conference, Mitsubishi Motors, and Jenny Craig. Additionally, an editorial about Bernard Transportation has been published in the Kansas City Star Newspaper.
